MAILBOX: "Scoop: this is pretty coincidental. On that “Totally Flabbergasted” link to the Dutch chicks (see below), girl #5 is Ami Cusack, who is on this season's edition of "Survivor" and has become a lesbian (one of two on the show). These Flabbergasted pix were from ’96 when she was a smokin’ hot 23-year-old blonde. Now she’s a 31-year-old (not aging well) brunette. But it’s the same girl. I’m not watching this season (haven’t watched since Richard the fat naked guy won), but I checked with someone who does, and so far, they’ve eliminated 4 contestants, and Ami is not one of them, she’s still in the running."

This Election's Spoiler May Turn Out to Be a Libertarian. When they are included in the polls, the libertarians are drawing 1-3% support. The great conflict of America is that we are by nature independent souls who distrust our slimy politicians, hate giving up control of the money we earn, and want the government out of our hair as much as possible - we are, by definition, libertarians - yet both of our political parties are free-spending authoritarians. (They just want to spend our money on different things.) There was a time when free market libertarian conservatives like me could feel comfortable in the Republican Party, but those days are long past. The current Republican Party seems to want even bigger government and more deficit spending than FDR. Of course, the existing Libertarian Party has been filled with radicals who want to legalize heroin and other such utopian beliefs which render them totally unelectable but, in my opinion, if the libertarians could ever get organized and slick and mainstream, their party might become the most significant force in American politics.

A Republican senator is demanding 'sexuality screening' for cows after recent research revealed a rise in cow homosexuality in recent years. Senator Rick Santorum, rising GOP star from Pennsylvania, released details today of a new initiative to galvanize his conservative base, saying, "So far there is insufficient evidence to suggest that homosexual beef might be a factor in turning children into homos."

In Demand, the largest pay-per-view distributor in the U.S., is planning to air Fahrenheit 911 between 8 and 11 p.m. on the night before election day.
  • (The deal is contingent on a waiver from Columbia TriStar, which has the right to block broadcast during DVD distribution. DVD sales are going nuts, so who knows whether the sales will slow down enough by then for Columbia to agree to a TV showing.)
  • The Post's source says, "If Moore and the Weinsteins can cut a deal with Columbia Tri-Star allowing the flick to be shown on TV, it seems likely that, to appease Tri-Star, they wouldn't use the "Fahrenheit 9/11" title. Instead, it would be part of a three-hour pay-per-view "event" titled "Michael Moore's Pre-Election Special," bookended by interviews with like-minded activist celebrities."
