Here is AFI's full list of the 100 Great Movie Quotes. I'm still waiting for the top 100 quotes from porn films named after regular films (like "Sperms of Endearment"). Here are some of my favorites:
  • "Show me the Cunny"
  • "I love the smell of my palm in the morning"
  • "I am big! It's the pictures of me that got small."
  • "Use my teeth? You can't handle the tooth!"
  • "You just put your lips together and blow. Wait. Never mind the together part."
  • "If you dildo it, he will come."
  • "Say hello to my little friend! Keep talkin'"
  • "Here's Johnny ... Wadd!"
  • "OK, a wire hanger might work"

I was going to college in Welland, Ontario when the story of the missing girls was hot. I was at a pub night with a guy who was boyfriend to one of the missing girls. I was in Southern Ontario when the arrests were made, the house raided, the homemade snuff films found, and the trial went to court. I was sickened. I was angered. And, being both brother, son, and uncle, I was scared.

The story of Karla Holmolka is a black spot on the Canadian psyche. There was a media ban at the time of the trial, but because we were no more than an hour from the US border, we could watch all the gory details of the trial on TV coming from Buffalo. Canada is a peaceful place, we knew, which had abolished the death penalty for decades, and I tend to think that even opponents of capital punishment thought this couple should be disposed of in the most painful way possible. My own idea was to tie them to chairs and lock them in a room with their victim's mothers.

Reading from the link to the CNN story, I saw 2 items of interest. The first is that she thinks she will be able to hide from a nation that still feels this angry, and the second regarding the betting on how long she will last. I would put $500 on her not seeing the end of July.

I imagine lots of people are making their way to Quebec to be there for her release from prison. I would too, if I had the money to fly in from California. And I would be sure to stop at the local sports store for a nice, solid baseball bat.

Death is too good for Karla Holmoka. Torture is a better idea. If some semblance of the terror we can only imagine that these kidnapped girls felt could be instilled on her, I would say there truely is a karmic balance to the universe.

And, by the way, I am not a psychopath, nor do I favour capital punishment. I am a very gentle, polite, loving, caring man. If these crimes make me feel this way, you can imagine the travesty I see when I see stories of this woman being released from prison.

"A simple brain scan can spot whether a woman is faking an orgasm or not"
  • Excellent! Now if I can just get women to stick their head in a scanner while I fuck 'em, I'll know for sure.
  • Oh, wait. I guess it doesn't matter with imaginary women.

The Weekend Warrior's outlook for the coming weekend. He's calling it (1) Batman (2) Bewitched (3) Brangelina (4) Herbie (5) Land of the Dead, but none of the numbers are very inspiring. He's especially pessimistic about Herbie, and expects an opening weekend of only $14 million, despite presence on 3000 screens.
