Police investigate allegations of public indecency at strip club golf outing. (With a video, albeit a mostly censored one.) Neighbors say there was "nudity and inappropriate behavior" on the course. Some of the inappropriate behavior may have included: (1) improvin' the ol' lie (2) getting caught in the bush (3) illegal techniques for straightening out the putter (4) kissing the balls (5) ineffective hip turn (6) gripping it and ripping it (7) "skins" tournament

I haven't read it, but Bruce Campbell's book is supposed to be quite good. Maybe even good enough to make up for his movie (below).

The cool thing about his movie is that he knew it was low budget, he knew it was/is campy and that's what makes it so much fun.

BC is the man, he makes no but's about what he does and who he is, otherwise why would he have such a legion of devoted fans, he's the regular Joes movie actor.

So even if the movie blows, it will suceed in what it set out to do, which is provide pure fluff entertainment, and give a good laugh for how cheesy it is.

And in the end what else matters. Huh.

The group Americans for Tax Reform says they are backing an effort to abolish a 'temporary' tax on telephones originally imposed to help fund the Spanish-American War. The original concept of the telephone tax was to be a luxury tax. "At the time there were only 1,300 phones in the U.S., and only a wealthy few could afford phones."
  • This also came up about five years ago. According to the Washington Post, by a vote of 420-2, on May 25, 2000, the "House passed a bill to repeal by October 2002 the 3 percent federal tax on long-distance telecommunications. It was enacted in 1898 as a luxury tax to help finance the Spanish-American War." The bill was never passed because it was subsumed under an appropriations bill that Bill Clinton vetoed. (Even though he said he agreed with the phone tax provision.)
  • NOTE: The tax has not been in effect continuously since the Spanish -American war. Here is the complete history of the tax

URBAN LEGEND

The war tax was only in effect from 1898 to 1902. Another Fed tax on telephones was in place from 1914 to 1924. A third (current) was put in place in 1932.

Learn the facts before you post this stuff.

"NLRB Green Lights Ban on Off-Duty Fraternizing Among Co-Workers" "A recent ruling by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) allows employers to ban off-duty fraternizing among co-workers." They are not using fraternizing as a euphemism for fuckin'. They are really saying that it's OK if your boss forbids you to have an after-work beer or grab dinner with your colleagues.

Actually the bosses are tired of getting badmouthed by their employees mocking them and imitating Donald Trump saying "You're Fired!!" when they get together after work and get a little sauced.

....Or actually it was The Donald who came up with this rules because everyone was mocking him.

You decide, either way it's idiotic. You'd think they'd want their employees to become friends so they'd work better and get along as well.

I guess that makes too much sense now doesn't it?
