  • He had previously delayed his 80th birthday celebration from Aug. 13 to this week in order to give himself time to recover from his July surgery.
  • He did, however enjoy his usual routine, milling around slowly with his hands by his side while calling for "brains"

The Trojans didn't get to celebrate their #2 status long
  • It ended today with a devastating loss to the guys across town at UCLA, thus returning the 1-2 status to the same Big Ten teams which have already played ... as it should be, in my opinion. Their first game could have gone either way, so they were practically co-number-ones anyway. Let's see if one of them can step it up a notch.

  • The new releases all bombed completely. The Nativity Story opened in a weak 4th place, while Turistas and Van Wilder 2 barely opened at all. James Bond took the #1 spot.
