Today we salute a true other crappy legend: me.

Time Magazine chooses me as "Person of the Year"

It all seems so unbelievable, but there you see an actual picture of my issue. I guess they really loved the annual "Best Nude Scenes" recap and my review of "Black Spring Break."

I finally got something up on my dad. He never made Man of the Year, not even the year he slugged almost 4.000, his perfect season marred by that damned ground-rule double. That was 1939, and Hitler edged him out.

I don't know how the Time photographer got that picture of me reading Time while sitting in front of the computer. If I knew he was going to take that angle, I would have taken down the naked Costanza picture on my wall and replaced it with something more manly. Maybe a naked Lou Dobbs.

Now if I can just get People to select me as their sexiest man of the year, I'll be drowing in poon!

Michael Vick breaks 34-year-old record for most QB rushing yards.
Vick's a talented guy, but his achievement is clouded by the fact that his team is 7-7, despite being picked by many as a Super Bowl contender.

Weekend Box Office Results for December 15-17, 2006
The Will Smith movie did much better than expected to take the #1 spot. (Hey, people love Will more than just about anybody not named Tom Hanks.) Forecasters had expected it to end up #2 or #3.

Charlotte's Web underperformed significantly, and the studio has to be considering it a major disappointment, given very wide distribution and solid reviews.

The total was 8% below the comparable weekend last year, but that's understandable since there was nothign to compare to lat year's debut of King Kong, which opened with $50 million. (That was less than expected.)
