Fox: How can the FCC fine us when they don't publish the rules?
Why did it take the networks so long to get the FCC into court. The broadcasters not only have to guess what the public's standard of decency is, but they have to guess what the FCC's guess is!!

Videogame Charts: Wii is kicking PlayStation's ass
A bit misleading isn't it? I'm thinking Playstation would sell a lot more if they actually built enough to meet the demand.

"The names and urine samples of about 100 Major League Baseball players who tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs three years ago can be used by federal investigators, a court ruled Wednesday."
This number is shocking. That means there were other baseball players who did NOT test positive!! That's pretty hard to believe.

FilmJerk.com - The Early Report for December 27, 2006
" ... actual and estimated screen counts, running times and ratings. This week's report covers 42 known new movies opening in theatres between Wednesday 12/27/06 and Friday 1/26/07, plus dozens more titles expanding their runs during this timeframe."

Following up on a question I raised earlier, this report shows that Children of Men expands to wide distribution on January 5th.

GALLUP: Gerald Ford Retrospective
Ford holds a somewhat amazing record of a 21% "overnight" dip in his approval rating, from 71 to 50, in reaction to the Nixon pardon. I believe Ford did the right thing, and so did he at the time, but I've read that over the years he confided regrets to his intimates.

Daily Box Office for Monday, December 25, 2006
Dreamgirls opened humongous on Christmas Day, pulling in more than $10,000 per screen - that's more than the other four in the top five added together!

Amazingly, Black Christmas also did OK, finishing sixth for the day.

The Children of Men did well per screen, but was only on 16 screens. I suppose that was for Oscar consideration. I don't know when they are planning to expand it, but the critical response to the film has been outstanding.

Flash! President Bush caused Hurricane Katrina.
Wait! There has to be some way to blame this on Clinton

You have to love the poorly photoshopped picture

GALLUP: George W. Bush, Hillary Clinton Most Admired Again
"George W. Bush's first place finish may seem unusual given his job approval ratings in the 30% range, but presidents usually are the most admired men, having won the honor 49 of the 60 times the question has been asked. The last time a sitting president was not named most admired was 1980, when Pope John Paul II finished ahead of Jimmy Carter."

The Reverend Billy Graham finished in the top ten for the 50th time!!! That's 50, five-oh!
