The Seafarers (1953).
This is a boring little color documentary. It was unusual to see color documentaries in those days, but that's not why it's below. The director is a guy you may have heard of - a fellow named Kubrick, or "Stan," as I like to call him. It was his first project in color.

Ralph Fiennes considers himself the victim of a sexual aggressor over the alleged mile-high sex scandal.
That poor man. I hope he is able to get treatment for the awful suffering he experienced at her hands.

"Ms Keene said the flight attendant had changed her version of events and had sold versions of her story to the highest bidder, but that Fiennes had kept a dignified silence." I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that's because she needs the money and he doesn't. In fact, I'm gonna give her the benefit of the doubt and guess that she would not have sold the story if she were a multi-millionaire.

I have no idea why Fiennes is being such a girly man. I might have done the same thing in his circumstances. Who hasn't followed his dick into the wrong places? Why all the denials and "I'm a victim" crap?

Hugh Grant and Khan Split, Secret Reason Suspected
Well, yeah, "secrets" are always "suspected," aren't they? I mean if they were "known" they wouldn't be very good secrets. Hughie will be sorry when Khan puts one of those crawly things in his ear.

Pretty much the same as the rest of us, except we don't want to wait for the seventh movie.

The Best And Worst James Bond Films
Pretty good list. Note that his lists are internally inconsistent. One example: according to his "worst Moore" list, A View to a Kill was worse than The Man With the Golden Gun, but his "worst overall" list doesn't include a View to a Kill and does include The Man With The Golden Gun.

The IMDb list agrees with six of his top seven (not in the same order), substituting On Her Majesty's Secret Service for The Living Daylights. I agree with IMDb.

IMDB is not so much in agreement with his "worst" list. He does not have A View to a Kill on his list, and that's rated the very lowest at IMDb, and he does not include The World is Not Enough, which is rated fourth worst at IMDB. Instead of those two abominations he lists Diamonds are Forever and The Man With the Golden Gun. Again, I have to say IMDb seems to have the better selections. Diamonds are Forever and The Man With the Golden Gun were both directed by Guy Hamilton, who directed Goldfinger, and they are not so bad, if not quite up to Goldfinger's standard.

IMDb has always listed the first three Bonds as the best three, but the new Bond has, at least temporarily, taken the top spot and knocked the originals to 2-3-4. My guess is that the new one will eventually settle into the #2 spot behind Goldfinger.

Weekend Box Office Results for February 16–18, 2007
It was a spectacularly good weekend, nearly 30% above the comparable weekend last year. I will have my usual comparative chart in tomorrow's edition because Weekend Warrior made 4-day predictions, but the three days are already higher than his predictions for four! The new films alone took in more than $100 million, and the top twelve took in more than $140 million for the weekend. There was no weekend over $140 million last year until mid May!

The final selection from this morning's Other Crappy music presentation "Achy-Breaky Heart" - and to make it even worse - it's sung by the Shanghai Sinatra himself, William Hung - with dancing! (This guy needs to do MacArthur Park as well. In fact, he needs to record an album of the ten worst songs of all time, maybe with a couple of Shatner duets.)

Vince McMahon has announced that he is going to go against Donald Trump in a hair match for Wrestlemania 23. The loser will have to shave his head.
I don't see any chance of Trump shaving his head, and McMahon will do anything for a good script, so put your money on The Donald to win.
