The Weekend Warrior's box office analysis for the upcoming weekend
He thinks it will be a good weekend in general, with two strong carry-overs and SIX new wide releases. His best guess is that the turtles will take the #1 spot, followed by the Marky Mark thriller. He thinks two of the other new releases will exceed $10 million as well.

"Tom Cruise to star in Hitler thriller"
It hopes to show the sexy, romantic side of the famous mustachioed mass murderer as a high-spirited teen.

Hitler's parents are on vacation in the Wienerwald, and they've warned him not to have friends over. Fortunately, they did not forbid him from destroying his enemies, so young Adolph (Cruise) turns their apartment into a miniature death camp! Sure, he won't have time for genocide, but can he at least kill a few gypsies before his mom comes home? All hell is sure to break loose, not because of the dead gypsies, but because Hitler invited a friend (Curtis Armstrong) to help out, and you know how mom feels about having friends over!

OK, I'm kidding. As silly as the headline sounds, this might actually be good. It a project from Bryan Singer (director) and Christopher McQuarrie (writer), the same team which developed The Usual Suspects

A: Yes.

Q: And in what ways does it affect your memory?

A: I forget.

Q: You forget. Can you give us an example of something that you've forgotten?

Inventory: 22 TV Opening-Credit Sequences That Fit Their Shows Perfectly
The correct title would be "22 that I like" or "22 memorable ones," given the fact that the intro to the Mary Tyler Moore show, while very memorable, is completely inconsistent with the tone of the show. The first time I watched that show I shut it off after the opening credits, thinking it would be some inspirational crap about a small-town girl in the big city. It was not until many weeks later that I was convinced to give the show a try by the famous clip which includes this exchange: "You've got a lot of spunk." "Thank you Mr Grant." "I hate spunk."

Another "graphic novel." Watchmen is the only graphic novel to win a Hugo Award, and is also the only graphic novel to appear on Time Magazine's 2005 list of "the 100 best English-language novels from 1923 to the present." It was written by Alan Moore, who wrote V for Vendetta. Here is the background.

Wood, Prior on pace for season-ending injuries
Prior was 1-6 with a 7.21 ERA last year when his season was cut short by a strained right shoulder. He is 0-1 with an 18.90 ERA in two spring training appearances, allowing seven runs and eight hits in 3 1/3 innings with five strikeouts and no walks. His "fastball" is in the 80s. He's not ready and nobody knows if or when he will be.

29-year-old Wood has a 12.00 ERA in three spring training appearances. "If he's on the active roster, it most likely would be as a one-inning reliever."
