The trailer from Good Luck Chuck
It's a high-concept lowbrow comedy which may or may not be good, but it features a lot of Jessica Alba in her underpants. So it's got that goin' for it.

MLB's all-overpaid team
"DH -- Jason Giambi, New York Yankees: $23.4 million. Readers, meet your highest-paid major leaguer for 2007! He can't run, he can't field, he hasn't hit .300 since 2002 and you can pencil him in to miss at least 20 games. (OK, he's still a plus offensive player with his power and walks, but shouldn't the highest-paid player be able to beat Oprah Winfrey in a foot race from home to first?)"

Today in the Guest House we have pics and notes from Combien tu m'aimes?
My French is quite rusty, but as near as I can tell, "Combien tu m'aimes" translates into English as "Monica Belluci naked," which appears to me the film's main theme. I know you'll be shocked to hear this but it's a French film, and it co-stars Gerard Depardieu. Who could have dreamed?

The complete collection of 2007 State Easter Eggs
I laughed out loud when I saw Wyoming's. Man, they put some effort into that. They must have brought in some Ukrainians as egg-designing ringers!

These are beautiful, but if you click on more than two or three it is God's way of telling you that you have way too much leisure time.

It's never too early to start thinking about Mother's and Father's Day
Thank heaven for Dave Barry and his Manilow obsession. How else would we keep abreast of new Manilow merchandise?

"There was a lot of inter-marrying that could have played havoc with the gene pool," conceded a member of the McCoy clan.

Entertaining, but breaks the first rule of Vince McMahon - nobody to root for.

Coke hates Jesus
"Titled Seven Kilometers From Jerusalem, pic centers around a Milanese ad exec having a midlife crisis who makes a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. In the desert, near the biblical Emmaus, the Italo ad man gives Jesus a ride on his Jeep, hands him a Coke, and, while Jesus is quenching his thirst, says: "My God, what a testimonial!"

Coca Cola in a letter complained to producers Graziano Prota and Angelo Sconda demanding that the scene be cut because it is likely to give Coca Cola a negative image and complaining that use of their brand was unauthorized. "We are not interested in this kind of product placement," a Coca Cola Italia spokeswoman said.

Interestingly, the Vatican was OK with this film, but Coke was not.

Geena Davis - tortured by being dunked - in flimsy clothing, of course. (From The Long Kiss Goodnight, not a bad little time-killer.)

"Father Shows Toddler How To Use AK-47 ... "
... while still in the pawn shop!

In general, I support the second amendment, but it is not comforting to know that any nutburger can pick up an AK-47 from his neighborhood pawn shop.
